Transcription - $60/hr of source material

We will provide a written transcript of old interviews you or other family members may have recorded years ago and want to know what they contain.

Transfer from analog to digital media -  Call for estimate

Many of us have recorded material on old cassettes or videotape that we’d like to share more easily with others. That material can be transferred to a digital version. The cost will depend on the quality and quantity of the original material.

Straight interview – unedited (1.5 hrs)  - $200

After an initial meeting to decide the material you want covered I will interview the storyteller and provide the unedited interview as an mp3 file.

Straight interview – rough edit (1.5 hrs)  - $300

After an initial meeting to decide the material you want covered I will interview the storyteller and edit the interview to remove long pauses, repetitions and ‘ahs and ums’. The edited interview will be provided as an mp3 file.

LifeTales – interview edited with sound and music - $600/person  - $900/couple

LoveTales – interviews edited with sound and music - $600

Slide show accompaniment to LifeTale or LoveTale -  $50/hr after audio is completed

We will create a slide show from pictures provided by you, accompanied by the edited LifeTale. The final slide show will be provided on DVD.

• $100 non-refundable deposit upon agreement to undertake project
• 50% of remainder due at completion of first interview
• Balance due upon delivery
• Allow 12 weeks for production and delivery
